Stephanie Atwood is Founder and Head Coach of the women’s running walking group in the greater Bay Area called Go WOW Team – Fit Women of the World. Coach Stephanie’s training and teaching experience span several decades.
Stephanie has worked, volunteered, and competed in fitness-related programs and events throughout the world. She holds current certifications as a long distance running coach, personal trainer, sports injury and nutrition consultant.

Atwood has published several books about fitness. Belly Fat Blowout is a national Best Seller about the fat burning process that enables athletes to utilize more of their own stores of body fat, for energy and carbohydrate conservation. The Kindle version has been downloaded more than 10,000 times! All of her books are available on Amazon.
In 2006 Stephanie started Go WOW Team, fitness for all women, all ages, sizes, and abilities through running, walking and the outdoors. Go WOW Team has grown to include more than 2000 active women throughout the U.S. WOW neighborhood groups workout regularly in four Bay Area Counties with plans to expand nation-wide.

Coach Stephanie has coached runners and competed regularly for more than 3 decades. She has national coaching certifications with United States Track and Field (USATF Level 2) and Road Runners Club of America (RRCA); is a sports nutrition specialist and is trained with National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer.
Stephanie continues to compete as a Masters Runner and places in the top 3 in her age division on a regular basis. She has competed at many distances from 800m to marathons and made it to college state finals in the 3000m. She also qualified for the Boston Marathon, first time in 1978 and recently in 2011.
Coach Stephanie, M.A. CHNRC has worked with all ages and kinds of groups including senior instructor with Outward Bound and more than 2 decades as an international outdoor adventure guide of her own eco-adventure company Guides For All Seasons. She has organized and guided local and international programs for the Sierra Club, The University of California, Mt. Travel/Sobek, Wilderness Travel and more.
